(3) Finalist Prizes: Each of the three (3) Finalists will receive:
– one (1) year’s supply of Del Monte products, awarded as four (4) physical shipments of ninety (90) 14-16oz cans of Del Monte Foods Vegetable, Tomato, and Fruit product (for a total of three hundred and sixty (360) cans). Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $418.00 USD;
– one (1) trip for two (2) people to San Francisco, California, where the Finalists will compete in the Grand Prize Cook-Off. Trip consists of round-trip coach air transportation for two (2) from a major airport nearest the Finalist’s home within the U.S., (airport, carrier and airline ticket class selected at the sole discretion of Sponsor), one (1) double occupancy standard accommodation for three (3) nights (accommodation to be selected at the sole discretion of Sponsor) and $750.00 USD spending money for the winner only. Finalist and guest must travel together. If Finalist resides within 150 miles of the destination, ground transportation may be substituted for air transportation at Sponsor’s sole discretion. All other expenses not specifically mentioned herein, including ground transportation, meals, gratuities, travel documents, tax, personal expenses and all other expenses not specified herein are the sole responsibility of the winner. No responsibility is assumed by Sponsor for canceled, delayed, suspended or rescheduled events after ticketing of trip for any reason whatsoever beyond its control. Transportation and accommodations are subject to availability, blackout periods, government restrictions and regulations, hotel, airline, airport or other transportation restrictions and regulations. Other restrictions may apply. Air travel must be booked and taken for the dates provided by the Sponsor in order to attend at the Grand Prize Cook-Off. Prize will be forfeited if winner is unable to travel on designated dates. Winners and guests must have all necessary identification and/or travel documents (e.g. a valid U.S. Driver’s license) required for travel and must travel on the same itinerary. ARV: $3,450 USD, depending on winner’s point of departure and airfare fluctuations. If winner is eligible, but a minor in his/her state of residence, the travel guest must be winner’s parent or legal guardian who must sign and return all required documentation. If winner’s guest is a minor, winner must be the parent or legal guardian of guest who must sign and return all required documentation. Minor guests must be accompanied at all times (including, but not limited to, in-flight, hotel stay and all prize-related events) by guest’s parent or legal guardian. Guests and winners must sign and return a release of liability/publicity prior to ticketing of trip.
Total ARV of each Finalist Prize: $3,868 USD.
(1) Grand Prize: The confirmed Grand Prize Winner will receive one (1) set of luxury pots and pans, brand and details at Sponsor’s discretion. Approximate retail value of Grand Prize: $3,000.00. In order to claim the Grand Prize, Grand Prize Winner must submit a written personal anecdote to Sponsor about Grand Prize Winner’s experiences with cooking or recipes (“Anecdote”), which will be considered part of Grand Prize Winner’s Entry. Anecdote must be in .doc or .txt file format, in English only, and between 50 and 500 words.
CONTEST PERIODS: Submissions will be accepted starting March 12, 2012 at 9:00:00 AM Central Time (“CT”) and ending April 22, 2012 at 11:59:59 PM CT.
HOW TO ENTER AND SUBMIT YOUR RECIPES: During the Contest Submission Period, visit the Del Monte Fan page at www.facebook.com/delmonte. If you have not previously “liked” the Del Monte Fan Page, then click on the “Like” button to like the page and then click on the “Crown The Cook” Contest application. Next, click on “Submit Recipe” and complete the registration form (the “Registration Form”) including your full name, full address (including state and ZIP code), daytime telephone number (including area code), a valid email address, and your date of birth, and upload your recipe (“Recipe”) which must include both an ingredient list (“Ingredient List”) and directions for preparation of the Recipe (“Recipe Directions”) as well as a photo of your Recipe as prepared (“Photo”) (Registration Form, Recipe, and Photo, referred to collectively as “Entry”). There are three (3) different categories of recipes (each, a “Category”); you will be asked to select the category that your Entry corresponds to. Next, confirm that you have read and understood these Official Contest Rules, and upon doing so, click “Submit” and your Entry will be entered into the applicable Category in the Contest. Each Entry will be screened by the Sponsor for eligibility (see Submission Requirements below) before being posted on the Website. Once your Entry has been reviewed you will receive an email confirming your Entry’s inclusion in the Contest. There is a maximum of ten (10) Entries per Facebook account/person/email address regardless of Category. If it is discovered that you attempted to enter more than ten (10) Entries, all of your Entries may be declared null and void, and any prize you might have been entitled to may not be awarded. Entries must be received during the Contest Submission Period. Entries generated by script, macro or other automated means are void.
ELIGIBILITY: To enter and be eligible to win, you must be a legal resident of the 50 United States, or Washington, D.C. (excluding residents of Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and other U.S. territories and possessions), be 18 years of age or older, have a valid email address, and have never been convicted of a felony or crime of moral turpitude. Persons in any of the following categories are NOT eligible to participate or win prizes: (a) any person who, at any time on or after March 12, 2012, was or is a director, officer, agent, representative, or employee of Del Monte Corporation (the “Sponsor”), or its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, franchisees, or service agencies; (b) individuals engaged in the development, production or distribution of materials for the Contest or engaged in the administration or execution of this Contest (collectively, with the entities listed in 2(a), the “Contest Entities”), (c) persons who are or purport to be immediate family members (defined as biological or step-mother, father, sister, brother, daughter, son, dependent or spouse of any of the foregoing) of any person in any of the preceding categories, regardless of where they live, or who reside in the same household (i.e., live in the same household for at least 3 of the 12 months preceding the start of the Contest Submission Period, whether related or not) as any person in any of the preceding categories; and (d) any person who is a food professional. For purposes of this Contest, a food professional is hereby defined as someone who derives, or has derived, a salary, fee, or other financial compensation from creating, critiquing, publishing or selling food recipes (including, but not limited to, chefs, food writers and food home economists).
